Food for your FEET?

Well, not exactly. But in the spirit of being friendly and kind to your feet, summer flats are a foodie’s best friend.

Whether waiting in line to try the hottest samplings from newest food truck, walking the open markets for summer’s freshest local produce, or spending hours on your feet prepping for an evening with friends, a fashion-forward foodie just can’t been seen in scruffy sneakers! Heaven forbid a steel-toe cap…

That’s why I love local Tribeca designer Matt Bernson’s ever so stylish and comfy collection of slip-on-slip-off flats. The return of the ballerina flat in most recent years has been a blessing to those of us who spend obscene hours on our feet, and Bernson’s sophisticated hand crafted take on the flat is truly music to our pieds!

Yesterday I visited his uber-chic Harrison Street store to pick up a few pairs **(40% off all summer shoes right now)** and was delighted by my funky new find…

These Indigo Tiedye Gauloise flats are a perfect compliment to jeans, and white shorts, and summery skirts. Find them and other Gauloise styles online, or if you’re in the neighborhood stop by the beautifully renovated carriage house that is his Tribeca flagship store!
