Pumpkin-Sage Soufflé Scrub

Well there’s no denying or escaping it: here, there, and everywhere October is the Pumpkin’s Month! And while we have files, folders, and books filled with fun and flavorful pumpkin recipes, we thought we’d share you for you a friend and family favorite from Darcy’s DIY Beauty arsenal…


The Pumpkin-Sage Soufflé Body Scrub is truly a treat for your skin: nourishing, exfoliating, and moisturizing, this soft scrub will leave your skin as velvety soft, smooth, and shinny as buttercream frosting. 
Natural remedies for health, colds, and especially beauty flare ups are at the core of Darcy’s philosophy, and so it is no surprise that this scrub is gentle and effective and developed to perfection. Although we would not suggest going so far as to eat it, as the sugar-salt content might make your hair stand on end, we would suggest making a few batches and giving some to friends as housewarming gifts, or simply as fall-favors for guests at your next dinner party. 

Pumpkin-Sage Soufflé Body Scrub

Makes 24 oz of the All Natural Body Scrub

The DIY How-To:

With a whisk, take 1 can (about 2.5 cups) of organic pureed
pumpkin and decant it into a medium size bowl: whisk the pumpkin alone to get a smooth consistency.

Then add 2 cups sugar, 1/2 cup course ground sea salt, 1 tablespoon honey, 1 tsp
pumpkin seed oil, 1 tsp flax, avocado, or olive oil, a few droplets of argan oil,
1 tsp finely chopped dried sage, 1 tsp pumpkin pie spice. Combine with a
spatula gently until mixture is even.

Scrub all over body in circular motions and let sit
for at least 2 minutes, while in the shower or bath. Rinse off with warm water, pat dry, and finish
with a nice layer of moisturizer, or body oil.
