A Place in the Sun

T-Shirt, Urban Outfitters // Midi Skirt, ASOS // Shoes, Zara // Bag and Bracelet, Vintage Hermes // Earrings, Aldo no longer available, love these // Lips, Nars Velvet Matte Lip Pencil in “Dragon Girl”

True to the words written straight across this wonderful francophile tee-shirt, a voyage in the stars did indeed lead me straight to finding this breathtaking place in the sun! After such a gloomy and grey winter-spring season, a crack of sunshine and warmth can bring unbridled joy to even the most cynical New Yorker. So to seise the day, I grabbed some fresh local daffodils and took a sunny stroll down some of my favorite quiet tree-lined streets in downtown Manhattan to take in the new sites and smells of the summer season. Isn’t how funny how everything seems to look new and different in the sun? I guess that is part of the joy of the spring, or rather leap, into summer: watching a complete rebirth of your surroundings as everything, and everyone, wakes up from a long, VERY long, winters nap. And let me tell you New York, hibernation is just not a good look for you: best to stick to summer shades and much warmer tones…

Check back tomorrow for our first piece on summer entertaining in our new Lifestyle *VIDEO* series! I am excited to hear what you my fabulous readers think.
