White Laced Wednesday

Nothing says “I’m celebrating the summer” more than a whimsical, light, layered, and lace white dress. This season, white has taken over as the ultimate summer staple, and so I would be remiss if I didn’t share with you the favorite white dress in my closet. Although the white dress may seem beholden solely to warm temperatures and tan skin, I disagree. When it comes to transitional dressing, there is nothing I like more than a summer dress thrown on over slouchy fall boots. Layer on a sweater, a leather, denim, or motorcycle jacket and you instantly look like a street style icon. Looking for a white dress in all those fabulous end of summer sales? Or even a transitional dress to get you through September? My tip is to choose a 60s silhouette. A swing dress, smock dress shown above, and even a baby doll shape is ideal to pair with tights and booties, soft over the knee boots, or a great jacket. The ideal length is short; above the knee and rising… AND the 60s silhouette was ALL that was seen on the Fall 2014 runway, so you’ll be transitioning in trend.
