2015 is already off and running at a roaring and ever exciting pace, but before we jump full speed ahead into the new year, I had to share with you my New Years Eve photo diary. Prior to heading out for a grand party with glittering gowns, fireworks, and dancing under the stars, I gave a Sparkling Rose-Gold themed cocktail party for close family and friends to close out 2014 in true Supper Model Style. Even the corgis managed to stay awake and join in the champagne and sparkle filled festivities. Outfitted with copious amounts of rose champagne, smoked salmon and caviar, a cheese board, spiced nuts, herbed olives, cake pops, rose, pistachio, and caramel macarons, and my strawberry-rose laced dark chocolate bark, the buffet table was a not so effortless array of familiar but festive finger foods that did seem to perfectly satisfy anyone and everyone who was just stopping by, staying for a while, or whom just haven’t yet left…
I set up a little photo booth with retro costume props, and organized seating groupings around a central table setting that I littered with treats and trinkets. A gold-flecked hide rug gave structure and softness to the party area, allowing people to throw off their heels for a bit and relax before we all headed out for our respective late night events. I served refreshing champagne-mojitos in golden copper Moscow-Mule mugs along side mini Panettone, white and red wine in black smoke goblets, and let the pink champagne dance, sparkle, and pop in simple glass flutes. Fresh pale-pink English roses and petals, vintage poppers, and endless mercury glass tea candles added romance and gave the party a soft golden glow that allowed us all to celebrate the joys of 2014 and warmly welcome the year ahead.
I hope you all enjoyed a fabulous New Years Eve, and send you best wishes for a fun filled, prosperous, happy and healthy 2015! I cannot wait to share with you all we have planned here at The Supper Model and the exciting adventures and projects coming our way soon. So stay tuned!
Many thanks to Crate and Barrel and Pier 1 for helping make my Sparkling Rose-Gold New Years come to life and to the stunning Bekka Palmer for capturing the night in her lens. And I send all my love to Chavez for Charity and BaubleBar for my sparkling New Years Eve jewels.
